Every year the West Forsyth Band Fans open a Dewey's store that sells holiday cookies and other Dewey’s products. These sales fund a significant amount of our band program. This wouldn’t be possible without the help of our wonderful students and volunteers. Thank you for helping us make this a success!

What can you do to help?

  • Shop the store-We are open 7 days a week leading up to the holidays. A portion of all sales go directly to funding our West Forsyth Bands. Encourage your friends and family to shop our local store and support the bands!

  • Volunteer-We operate seven days a week and need your help to run the store. Students and families can sign up for a shift here:

 FAQs

  • Yes! A member of the team will show you how to navigate the register. There is also a training video you must watch before arriving for your first shift.

  • Minors between the ages of 14 and 15 can only work 3 hour shifts on school days and 8 hour shifts on the weekends.

  • While shifts can vary, we typically follow this schedule:

    11am-2pm

    2pm-6pm

    6pm-8pm

  • Card is preferred although we do accept cash. However, we do not give change so exact change is necessary or the difference can be given as a donation.

  • This store along with other fundraising efforts have a HUGE impact and make our programs successful. The bands receive around $1k/year from the school district. The other $40-50k needed to run a band program like ours, is raised by the Band Fans and generous community sponsors.

  • The funds are used to pay for music, instrument repairs, clinicians (instructors), color and winter guard, and to fund our marching band, including music and drill.
